Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church

Grace Evangelical Lutheran in Springfield, led by Senior Pastor Rev. Daniel Powell, is undergoining an addition with two strategically designed wings that will fit the needs of their growing congregation.

A new youth education wing will be added to the west side of the building, accessed through an extension of the current narthex while adding a courtyard/play area between the new wing and the current children's wing.  The community outreach center will be extended to the north, almost tripling in size, allowing Grace to seat nearly 400 people for large functions. This expansion will also allow the kitchen to be enlarged. This area, too, would have beautiful patio areas for additional fellowship space.

“This entire project is about looking beyond ourselves”, said Tom Brodbeck, Discipleship Coordinator at Grace.  “All of our educational ministries are focused on developing disciples of Jesus Christ who make a difference in the world for Him. The added community space makes it even more possible for our facility to become a place that benefits non-profit ministries in addition to the disciple-making emphasis of the congregation.”
