Friends Care of Yellow Springs

Kapp Construction is proud to have been selected for the Rehab renovation and physical therapy/occupational therapy addition that expanded care for their short-term rehabilitation patients at Friends Care Community in Yellow Springs.

The single-story, 7,000 sf addition and renovation of an existing 3,500 sf area has increased capacity and allows for 16 private  rooms in the physical and occupational therapy unit that serves as an alternative to hospital care. Features of the private rooms include independently controlled heating and cooling, private bath and shower in each patient room and ample natural lighting. A large cafe and common area support FCC's mission to provide a welcoming, vibrant and homelike environment.

Kapp Construction added a modern thermal vapor barrier and heat recovery system, as well as upgraded the existing emergency electric generation system.
